DESCRIPTION:Join Ms. Sue for some pre-Rosh Hashana baking. Let’s make Honey Cake!Recipe:\n1 c. & 2 T. Flour\n1 tsp. Baking Powder\n¼ tsp. Baking Soda\n¼ tsp. Salt\n1/3 c. Oil\n1/3 c. Honey\n½ c. Sugar\n2½ T. Brown Sugar\n1 large Egg\n½ tsp. Vanilla\n1/3 c. Brewed Coffee\n2½ T. Orange Juice\nInstructions: \nPreheat oven to 350°F and generously grease loaf pan.\nIn a large mixing bowl\, combine flour\, baking powder\, baking soda\, and salt.\nAdd oil.\nMeasure 1/3 cup of honey and save about 1½ Tablespoons for drizzling over the batter\nAdd sugars\, egg\, vanilla\, coffee\, and orange juice.\nMix well until all ingredients are combined and no lumps remain.\nPour the batter into the prepared pan.\nDrizzle the 1½ Tablespoon of honey over the batter.\nBake in the preheated oven until the cake is set all the way through and feels springy to the touch\, about 30 minutes. A tester inserted into the center should come out clean.\nLet cool 15 minutes before removing from the pan. Slide a knife around the edges to help loosen the cake\, if necessary.
