DESCRIPTION:It’s time for another Friendship Circle Field Trip! We will be taking the bus uptown to see Esperanza Rising at the Children’s Theatre. This show is one act and approximately one hour long. Read the play description below to learn more. \nThis field trip has limited availability. RSVP asap to save your spot. \nIMPORTANT BUS INFO:   \nThe bus will be leaving Friendship Circle promptly at 3:20pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 3:15pm. The bus will plan to be back on camus around 5:40pm. We will communicate in the GroupMe all travel updates if we will be later than that for any reason. \nPlay description:  \nSmart and stubborn teenager Esperanza Ortega lives the life of a rich girl in 1920s Mexico wearing pretty clothes and attending private school. The day before her birthday tragedy strikes\, setting a chain of events into motion that forever change her life. She and her family flee Mexico for the United States only to face new struggles as they start again during the Great Depression. This powerful story illuminates loss and shines a light on hard work and hope. \nParticipation in Friendship Circle programs is for registered Friends only.

DESCRIPTION:We’re taking a bus from Friendship Circle and heading Uptown to watch a sensory-friendly performance of Pinocchio. This incredible opportunity is thanks to the generosity of the Autism Strong Foundation and their partnership with the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. \nDon’t miss out on this wonderful story and incredible opportunity! \nImportant Details:\n\nThere will be transportation to and from Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Please meet at Friendship Circle before 3:30pm. The bus will leave promptly at 3:30pm and will return at 6:00pm. We will post on the Mom’s GroupMe with an updated ETA if we are running late on our way back.  \nChildren’s Theatre of Charlotte is located in Uptown at ImaginOn Library. If you live nearby and would rather meet us there\, please meet us there at 3:55pm and plan to pickup from the Library at 5:30pm.\nFriends must wear their Friendship Circle shirt for this program.\n\nPlease Note: Participation in Friendship Circle programs is for registered friends only.
